Building Better Communication. Preventing Conflict. Enabling Early Resolution.
SANKALP – aao, baat kare is pleased to engage with the students of for an interactive session exploring the efficacy of communication in everyday life and its vital role in preventing disagreements from escalating into disputes and conflicts.
The session takes a practical, preventive approach to conflict management—helping students recognise that many disagreements begin not with major differences, but with how we listen, respond, interpret, and communicate.
From Everyday Disagreement to Constructive Dialogue
Whether in classrooms, workplaces, families, professional relationships, or public interactions, effective communication can create space for understanding before positions become entrenched. The session will explore practical ways to:
Communicate clearly without unnecessarily escalating tension
Listen actively and understand perspectives before responding
Recognise communication patterns that can intensify disagreements
Address differences early rather than allowing them to become full-fledged disputes
Use dialogue, empathy and clarity as tools for constructive resolution
Understand when and how mediation and other ADR approaches can assist in resolving disagreements
A Preventive Approach to Dispute Resolution
For future legal professionals, understanding dispute resolution begins well before a dispute reaches a formal forum. The ability to identify an emerging disagreement, communicate effectively, and create conditions for dialogue is an important part of a broader preventive approach to conflict management.
Through practical examples and interactive discussion, students will be encouraged to look beyond the question of “Who is right?” and consider a more constructive question: “How can this disagreement be understood and addressed before it escalates?”
SANKALP – aao, baat kare, in collaboration with MindClub Foundation, looks forward to creating a meaningful learning space where communication becomes not merely a means of expression, but a tool for understanding, prevention and early resolution.
We encourage our members and colleagues to register for India ADR Week 2026 and be part of the conversations shaping the future of dispute resolution.
